Overview

The new Apple iPod Classic belongs to the fifth generation of iPods and sports an anodized Aluminium faceplate.

This Apple music player weighs 140 g and has dimension of 103.5 x 61.8 x 10.5 mm. iPod Classic has 2.5 inch color LCD display with LED back light and the display has resolution of 320 by 240 pixels. The control buttons are very easy to reach in the ipod Classic. The circle, in front of the player has the play, pause, rewind and forward buttons.

The iPod Classic has a battery of Lithium-ion and supports USB based recharging, and can be recharged in 4 hours time. The iPod Classic can accommodate 40,000 songs, 200 video hours and 25,000 photos giving an audio playback time of 36 hours and video playback time of 6 hours.

The audio formats supported are AAC, Mp3, Protected AAC, MP3 VBR, Audible, APPLE LOSSLESS, AIFF, WAV, HE-AAC. The iPod Classic has a dock connector, earphones and the starter's guide in the box. The 3.5mm stereo headphone jack is yet another add-on to the Classic. Vortex, iQuiz and Klondike are the iPod Classic games that will get you glued to it. The iPod Classic supports H.264 or MPEG - 4 video in MOV, MP4, or M4V file formats, with a maximum resolution of 640x480 pixels at as much as 30 frames per second.
